Why I won’t switch to mac

Switching to Mac’s is the latest buzz word in the blogosphere, so I decided to write why I won’t switch.

  • First of all there’s the price: why should I pay more for something that’s ugly white and feels plastic? Usually when considering an ugly laptop I can at least try to think of more computing power, disk space or whatever. But I can get a Vista based laptop with equal specs for a much better price. 1:0
  • Secondly there are the benefits of owning a Mac: Some say it’s faster. Some say it’s very sophisticated and makes daily rutines a little less boring. All we know is, he’s called the Stig…. Well, I don’t really know if any of this is true untill I test one. But how and where do I get a Mac for test. I know! I’ll call my friends and take their laptop for a spin! Oh no, wait. Nobody I know uses a Mac… 2:0
  • Thirdly there’s the software range. If I own a Windows based computer I can be sure that there will be plenty software solutions for my particular need and whenever there’s some kind of emergency, somebody will be able to help me as my problem won’t be of the sort “because you own a Mac”. (Linux users developed help and support even more, but it’s a different story) 3:0
  • Least, but not last: Gaming. I have to admit that since I bought x360, I rarely play anything on my laptop. I rarely play at all. Sometimes, however, it’s nice to have some fun with a strategy game (which apart from C&C, are not available on x360 and lets be honest, it’s not the same). 4:0
  • Lastly: I really really don’t want to sniff my own farts and terrorize the earth with smug. 5:0

The end.

Actually not, I’ll definitely give Macs a try, as soon as I can test one for a week.
